The 2 hour window that the sun decided make a showing gave us just enough time for the kids to find 300 eggs in my parents backyard garden! This is the backyard before the chaos.
We even had a little hunt for the adults... a beer bottle hunt that is.
I still can believe she's nine! She had to option of a sleepover with 3 friends or a party with 9 friends. She choose the one that let her invite more! She had a hard time making her final invite list so she got away inviting 10 since she just had such a hard time choosing.

she went to another event earlier but Wyatt loved her butterfly face!
Sliders (I always think of Lola when I have these) and hot dogs were on the menu for the party. Dinner special consisted of watermelon, drink and a hotdog & burger for $5.00

Just finished with a bridal open house over at Fusion and I didn't have enough time to post these ahead of time.
After a week of watering and some very cold nights, the rink is finally open for some skating. It is the biggest one that we have ever had and takes up our whole backyard. Maya was practicing some hockey moves on it and Jax even pulled on his skates for skate/sled pulling spin. Wyatt has yet to test it since right now he has an aversion to snow pants claiming that 'snow pants are yucky'. We don't exactly know where that came from as the kids willingly throw their snow pants on at the sight of snow.
Yes, I go overboard... but I love it. Check out my gift tags this year! This might even make it easier for the kids to figure out which present is who's.

It's official. We no longer need a crib at the house. There is now an ad on kijiji. It's a little sad but Wyatt has spent the last 3 weeks sleeping in bed and the crib is taking up valuable floor space that could be better used for a myriad of train tracks. Sad day.
So as you can probably tell, I'm on a little bit of a streak and I'm going with it because there are lots of times where I have no umph to do anything creative and then others times that's all I want to do. Right now, I have to do this ... I signed up for the Home for the Holidays Show and its coming up quick!

Here is number 2 in a series of pieces that I am doing for an upcoming arts/crafts show. I start with an old window, paint a little something on the back side (I use latex paint as it's durable and won't come off), then I applied the coneflowers cut out of scrapbooking papers on the front and then applied japanese papers on the backside to give the background.
